"Being the founder of weincluded.org, Ankit through its #weincluded movement aspires to work on creating effective grassroots leadership for the global change! Currently, working as a Gandhi Fellow in the Piramal School of Leadership, Ankit is working with some remote and tribal communities of Rajasthan in addressing their Sustainable Developement Goals (SDGs) through community participation and social innovation. Holding a bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, master's in Ecology and Environment Studies from Nalanda University, Ankit in his previous roles with leading Council of Scientific & Industrial Research Laboratory and JSW Steel Ltd. firms in India, has worked extensively on energy projects and public-private partnerships (PPPs) in the infrastructure and Research and Development (R&D) space. Ankit, extensively is working on the climate change and energy poverty problems in India. One of his major researches was on the scope of decentralized solar energy and RETs in Bihar, India for mitigating climate change impacts and energy. Ankit believes that we could only solve such issues which are so complexly inter-woven and multi-disciplinary in nature by addressing the effective leadership crisis at the last-mile policy and action distribution. Having received several international and national recognitions for his work under weincluded.org, he aims to utilize his technical knowledge and field experiences in the developmental space for the betterment of unserved and under-served communities in India."
