Eddy Johnson Owino is an enthusiastic and vibrant Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who is currently a Global Wellbeing Envoy for Reimagining Society. He is also a researcher whose articles have been published in the East African Medical Journal. He is proactive and a captivating health communicator who inspires and believes that community should be healthy by eating right and live well. He is driven to contribute to regional, national and international efforts in making of a healthy, food secure and well – nourished population by alleviating malnutrition as it has a significant social and health impact that is measurable in economic terms.In addition to his diet and nutrition expertise, Eddy is highly convicted and committed to using is knowledge and experiences to grow others and contribute to agriculture – nutrition linkages and outcomes among rural farming families and urban poor households in Sub-Saharan Africa. He is among the frontline champions in advocating for women, elderly and children’s health and nutrition, physical health, mental health, youth development and empowerment, and also human rights. He graduated from Kenyatta University with a Bachelor of Science in food, nutrition and dietetics and completed his accredited clinical nutrition placement at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital in Kisumu, and Children of God Relief Institute in Kariobangi, Kenya. When he’s not transforming lives, he listens to music, loves cooking, and engages himself in voluntary humanitarian activities.
